First, product design requirements are identified based on input from sales personnel. Second, designers hold discussions to evaluate the feasibility of each suggestion—this is a collaborative screening and communication process. Third, once the final design concept is confirmed, detailed design work begins. Fourth, after the visual renderings are approved, technical drawings (including dimensions) and color specifications are prepared. Fifth, the renderings, dimensioned drawings, and color specifications are sent to the factory for prototype production. Sixth, upon receiving the prototypes, any necessary adjustments are made in close coordination between designers and the factory. Seventh, only when the prototypes meet all quality standards—and pricing and cost targets are confirmed—does the process proceed to packaging and instruction manual design. Eighth, mass production orders are placed.
